Blue Dart Express,South Asia's leading express company, has launched the first-of-its kind product, ImageDart, which the company says will increase the efficiency of the supply chain in the domestic express industry. ImageDart will enable users of Blue Dart's Air Package Express and Surfaceline services to down-load proof of delivery and delivery challans online. The scanned image will be available on Blue Dart's website, www.bluedart.com, within 48 hours after the shipment has been delivered and will allow customers to view, download or print their copies of the proof of delivery and delivery challan, which are now treated as legal documents. The image has complete delivery details, including the consignee's signature and comments. ImageDart will store the image for up to 45 days after delivery of the shipment.
On the launch of ImageDart, Malcolm Monteiro, senior vice president (sales and systems), said, "ImageDart has been created keeping the customers' needs and convenience in mind. Our customers will now be able to realise their collections from their customers much faster. This will help them save interest costs and make their billing and recovery cycle more efficient."
