Blue Dart Express Limited, major logistics company in the country, on Tuesday declared its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2008 in Mumbai. According to a company release, income from operations for the first quarter of 2008 was Rs 239.70 crore, an increase of 31.95% compared to Rs 181.6 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The net profit for the company rose 88.3% at Rs 30.7 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008, as compared to Rs 16.3 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007. Currently, Blue Dart offers delivery of consignments to over 20,800 locations in India. As part of the DHL Group, Blue Dart accesses the largest and most comprehensive express and logistics network worldwide, covering over 220 countries and offers an entire spectrum of distribution services including air express, freight forwarding supply chain solutions & customs clearance.
