Blue Dart increases stake in Blue Dart Aviation; stk up 8%

Logistics company Blue Dart Express rose 8 percent as it has acquired additional 4 percent stake in Blue Dart Aviation. The company now holds 74 percent. On Wednesday the company reported 33.46 percent jump in standalone net profit at Rs 45.59 crore for the April-June quarter of the current fiscal on higher sales. It had reported net profit of Rs 34.16 lakh in the same quarter of the previous fiscal. Net sales of the company increased to Rs 619.60 crore during the first quarter of 2015-16, from Rs 526.94 crore in the same quarter of 2014-15. Its total expenses increased to Rs 548.33 crore during the quarter from Rs 479.60 crore in the year-ago period. At 12:16 hrs Blue Dart Express was quoting at Rs 6,859.95, up Rs 340.95, or 5.23 percent on the BSE.
