Blue Dart net up 58.40 pc to Rs 11.12 crore

Blue Dart Express Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 11.12 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2004, an increase of 58.40 per cent over the similar quarter last fiscal. Announcing the results, the company said its income from operations for the quarter stood at Rs 121.45 crore, an increase of 35.21 per cent over the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. It posted profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 17.70 crore for the quarter against Rs 10.94 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2003. Commenting on the results, Blue Dart Express' Managing Director Clyde Cooper in a statement issued here said, "The company added quality capacity in the past quarter to support increased demand, that play important role in distribution for B2B segment."
