DHL and Blue Dart win a host of awards at the 5th Express Logistics & Supply Chain Conclave

Mumbai, September 22 2011:

DHL, the world's leading logistics provider, and Blue Dart, South Asia's premier courier, and integrated express package Distribution Company, part of the DHL Group received due recognition from the industry at the '5th Express Logistics & Supply Chain Conclave' (ELSCC) held from September 21-22, 2011 at The Taj Lands End.

Showcasing its leadership position, DHL was bestowed upon a host of awards in a range of categories. The 'best express provider of the year-International' went to DHL Express, whilst the 'best logistics service provider of the year for air freight' was bestowed on DHL Global Forwarding. In the category for 'best air express provider of the year-Domestic', Blue Dart was declared as the winner and the award for 'Innovative Logistics Company of the year' went to DHL-Blue Dart for Smart Truck. In tribute to his contribution to the industry, Mr. Malcolm Monteiro, Senior Vice President & Area Director, South Asia, DHL Express received the 'Lifetime Achievement award'.

Held under the theme 'Lean Innovative & Sustainable', ELSCC serves as a platform to bring experts together to discuss, collaborate and represent the voice of the industry. The two-day event includes panel discussions and a series of discussions on enhancing the industry, driving renewed growth and gaining market share.
