BLUE DART LAUNCHES "ONLINE PICK UP"
Mumbai, October 15, 2001 :
Blue Dart Express Limited, India's leading integrated and logistics company has launched "Pickup Online", the online facility available on www.bluedart.com to all customers for scheduling their domestic and International shipments. With "Pickup Online" customers can schedule their pickups for multiple packages and services through a single request, upto 30 days in advance. This facility is available between 12:00 noon and 7:30 p.m., all days excluding Sundays.
Launching this service, Malcolm Monteiro, Senior Vice President - Sales & Systems, Blue Dart Express Limited said, "All pickups scheduled online seamlessly integrate into the pickup module in use by Customer Service. This will give Blue Dart customers the added flexibility of scheduling a pickup at their convenience, and will provide our customers the facility to plan effectively in advance and save them from last moment hassles".
For availing this service, customers will have to log on to www.bluedart.com "Schedule a pickup" would appear as one of the Registered user services. The pickup needs to be registered 2 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time. Initially, this service will be available from Mondays to Saturdays for pickups from Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata.
